James Han

Co-Chair

James is a post-doctoral researcher and a CIHR Banting Fellow specializing in immunology and aging research in Drs. Arlene Sharpe and Marcia Haigis labs at Harvard University. His research projects involve understanding how our immune system deteriorates with aging and its implication in cancer immunotherapy. He previously completed his PhD in Dr. Pamela Ohashi’s laboratory at the University of Toronto, where he specialized in developing novel strategies to reprogram T cell-based cancer immunotherapy. In conjunction with his academic contributions, James served as consultant for biotech/pharmaceutical industry evaluating current landscape in immune-oncology and next-generation therapeutic development strategies. Beyond these roles, James holds numerous leadership position in the field through his executive roles in the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), BioCanRx, Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Canadian Cancer Immunotherapy Consortium and many more.
